Case Western Undergrad Admissions, and Letters of Recommendations

Hey guys, I'm a junior considering Case Western for undergrad studies. But I'm confused about their letters of recommendation policy. Can someone enlighten me on what Case Western's approach is? Like, do they require it, how many, and who should they be from?

Case Western Reserve University does indeed allow students to upload letters of recommendation in its "additional materials" section.

Should you decide to submit letters to bolster your application, consider using your high school counselor or teacher. If you request a letter from a high school counselor, the letter would typically give an overview of your academic and personal characteristics, any challenges you may have overcome, and how you contribute to the school community.

If you decide to request a letter from a teacher, they should be someone who has taught you a core academic subject (English, Math, Science, Social Studies, or a Language) in your junior or senior year. The teacher can provide insights into your intellectual curiosity, creativity, level of academic rigor, and participation in class.

Remember, the letters of recommendation should ideally provide different perspectives on your abilities, character, and growth. Try to think about what these recommenders can say about you that would truly enhance the admissions committee’s understanding of you as an individual and a prospective student. Good luck on your college journey!
