When's the typical deadline for college applications?

Hey guys, I'm trying to plan my time wisely as it seems like the application deadlines are coming up quick. For most institutions, when is the deadline for college applications? Are there any differences for early action or decision?

The deadlines for college applications can depend on what type of admission process you're opting for: Early Decision (ED), Early Action (EA), Regular Decision (RD), or Rolling Admission.

Early Decision is typically due around November 1st or November 15th. It's a binding commitment, meaning if you're accepted, you're expected to enroll at that school.

Early Action also generally has a deadline in early November. However, unlike ED, it's not a binding decision, so if you're accepted, you can still choose to go to another school.

Regular Decision deadlines usually fall on January 1st or January 15th.

Finally, Rolling Admission deadlines tend to be later (often as late as spring), and applications are reviewed as they come in until all spots in the upcoming class are filled.

Keep in mind that these dates can fluctuate slightly from year to year and may vary among colleges, so it's always a good idea to check the specific dates on each college's admission webpage to make sure you're on track. Good luck with the application process!
