Should Campus Aesthetics Matter? Perspectives on Most Beautiful College Campuses in Florida?

Okay, so I'm currently a junior and I live in Florida. I'm starting my college search and I was wondering if you guys could suggest which campuses in Florida are the most beautiful? On another note, how much should campus beauty actually matter in the grand scheme of things such as academics and opportunities?

Florida hosts a multitude of colleges and universities, each with distinct architectural styles and landscapes contributing to their campus beauty. Famous ones include Flagler College in St. Augustine with its historic Ponce de León Hotel architecture and beautiful courtyards, Rollins College with its lakefront campus, and the University of Florida in Gainesville, known for its impressive red-brick architecture and beautiful green spaces.

However, while it's nice to study on a beautiful campus, the aesthetics should not overshadow the more crucial aspects of your college decision. It's essential to consider the academic rigor, available majors, opportunities for internships or research, campus culture, financial affordability, and if the college offers the resources and support you need to succeed.

For example, if you're interested in marine biology, then you might prioritize a school like Eckerd College, which offers excellent oceanfront access for marine classes and research opportunities, over a school that might be considered traditionally more "beautiful" but doesn't offer the same academic opportunities.

So, enjoy the beauty of the campuses, but remember to balance it against your academic goals and career aspirations. After all, what you want is to feel comfortable and happy for the upcoming years of your life, but also be set up for a successful future.
