Colleges with High Military Student Population?

Hey everyone, I've served in the military and I'm considering college for the next phase of my life. I'm wondering what colleges have a high population of military students. It would be nice to study in an environment with peers who have had similar experiences.

Several colleges across the United States are built on a foundation that appreciates and supports our veterans and active military personnel. Some universities are known to foster robust military communities, either due to on-campus ROTC programs, benefits for military service members or veterans, or a strong culture of military appreciation.

1. American Military University (AMU): Although it's an online university, AMU is well-regarded in military circles for its flexibility and wide range of programs, accommodating individuals who regularly move around or who have irregular schedules.

2. University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC): Originally started as a satellite campus to educate overseas military, UMGC has become well-known for its military and veteran-friendly policies.

3. University of Texas at Austin: Renowned as a public research university, UT Austin hosts one of the largest student veteran populations in the country.

4. University of South Florida: At USF, military and veteran students are a valued part of the community. They even have a dedicated Office of Veteran Success providing resources.

5. Military Service Academies: If you're still considering further military service, the service academies (USNA, USMA, USAFA, USCGA) and Senior Military Colleges (like VMI, Norwich, The Citadel, Texas A&M) are immersive military environments.

6. Georgetown University: Known for its strong governmental and international relations programs, Georgetown has a significant veteran population and an established Veterans Office.
