Can anyone point me to the US colleges with an active Greek life?

I'm currently doing my college search and one thing that really matters to me is an active Greek life in the college I end up in. I'd love to join sororities/fraternities, so can anyone tell me about colleges with most sororities and fraternities in the US?

Sure, Greek life is an integral part of many colleges in the U.S., contributing to student culture and community involvement. Here are some schools known for their active Greek life:

1. University of Alabama: Located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the university boasts a robust Greek life with about a third of the undergraduate student population belonging to a sorority or fraternity.

2. University of Florida: Found in Gainesville, Florida, the university has a dynamic Greek life scene, hosting over 60 social fraternities and sororities.

3. University of Missouri: The university, located in Columbia, has a significant section of its undergraduate population participate in Greek life, accounting for about a quarter of the student body.

4. Pennsylvania State University: Known for their Greek system with a large number of active chapters, it's located in State College, Pennsylvania.

5. University of Georgia: Based in Athens, Georgia, the university provides an energetic Greek life with around 2%7 of students being involved in a sorority or fraternity.

It's important to note that Greek life can vary from one school to another. While some universities like those above have numerous and visible Greek organizations, at others, they may be less prominent but still active and influential on campus. You might find it beneficial to reach out to the colleges directly to learn more about Greek life there.
