Meeting Partner in College

Just outta curiosity, is it still common for people to meet their lifelong partner during their time at college?

Well, meeting a lifelong partner in college can certainly happen, but it's not a given. It varies greatly depending on individual circumstances and experiences. That being said, according to a few studies, about 28% of married college-graduated people met their spouse in college.

However, this doesn't mean that it's guaranteed or that it happens for everyone. Universities are diverse environments where people are exploring their interests, identities, and career aspirations - and not everyone's looking to find their lifelong partner. Some people might find the person they end up with during this time, while others don't, and both scenarios are completely normal.

It's also important to remember that your college years are a time to learn and grow – not just academically, but also personally. So, don't stress too much about finding your partner in college. Instead, focus on enriching your own experience. If you meet someone special along the way, that's great, but if you don't, that's okay too. There are plenty of opportunities to meet people after college as well.
