Finding job post-graduation

This has been bugging me recently. Do most college students find jobs soon after they get their degree? I'm worried about being jobless after graduation.

Most students are able to secure a job within six months to a year following graduation, although this can vary greatly depending on a number of factors such as the field of study, economic conditions, the level of the degree (bachelor's, master's, or doctorate), the student's willingness to relocate, and how proactive the student is about applying for jobs and networking.

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, as of 2020 about 80% of graduates were employed or pursuing additional education within six months of graduation. However, this statistic can fluctuate depending on the aforementioned factors.

It's completely natural to be concerned about securing employment post-graduation. In order to set yourself up for success, it would be beneficial to start your job search before you graduate. This gives you ample time to research and apply to a variety of positions, without the rush that can come after graduation. Many universities also have career services that can provide support with job searches, resume reviews, and interview preparation. Additionally, if possible, try to obtain internships or gain experience in your field of interest while you're still in school to build your skill set and network.

While the prospect of job hunting may seem daunting, remember that many people are in the same boat. It's important to stay focused, persistent, and positive. You're certainly not alone in this journey!
