Which colleges are known for their political activity?

So, I'm super politically engaged and I'm hoping to continue that in college. Which colleges have a politically active student body? I'd love to know where I could have the most impactful experiences in this domain.

Several colleges in the United States are known for having a politically active student body. Here are some notable ones:

1. George Washington University (GWU): Located in the heart of Washington, D.C., GWU offers students a unique opportunity to engage in politics. Many students intern on Capitol Hill, at lobbying firms, think tanks, or non-profit organizations. Additionally, numerous political student groups are focusing on everything from political debate to activism.

2. University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley): Known for its history of student activism in the 1960s, UC Berkeley still has a reputation for its engaged and active students. The campus hosts frequent political rallies, discussion groups, and guest speakers.

3. American University (AU): Also in Washington, D.C., AU has a politically active campus life with many students interning for government offices, NGOs, or international organizations. AU also has a range of student clubs dedicated to politics and activism.

4. Oberlin College: Known for its liberal students, Oberlin is where passionate activism meets academia. Students are involved in global issues and often organize events promoting social justice.

5. Harvard University: As one of the most prestigious universities in the world, many Harvard students are politically active and go on to pursue careers in politics. The presence of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government also helps foster a robust political environment.

6. Yale University: Yale also possesses a strong political culture. The Yale Political Union (YPU), a long-standing debating society, is particularly notable, with members often going on to prominent roles in politics.

Bear in mind, though, that the political climate can vary from year to year and from class to class. So, do some digging and reach out to current students or alumni to get a better feel for the current atmosphere.
