Most beautiful college campuses according to Expedia?

So I came across a list online about the most beautiful college campuses. Does anyone have a personal opinion on this? Could this factor affect your college decision?

I personally think campus aesthetics can indeed play a role in the college selection process, and it's not an unusual factor to take into account. For some students, the architecture, the presence of green space, or even the climate can influence their decision. After all, a college campus is not just a place to study, but also a place to live, socialize and explore.

As for my opinion on the rankings, it's important to remember that beauty is highly subjective and everyone’s interpretation may differ based on their personal preferences. Therefore, while online lists can be good starting points, they may not necessarily reflect how everyone feels about a particular campus.

What I would advise is to use such lists as initial inspiration, but also to do your own research. Look at pictures or videos of the campus online, or even better, visit the campus if you can. This will give you a feel for the campus atmosphere, architecture, and surroundings, and help you visualize if you'd be happy studying and living there.

As an example, Princeton University, with its harmonious blend of modern and historical architecture set amidst lush greenery, is often cited as one of the most beautiful campuses. But there also are other campuses with distinct aesthetics, like the University of Colorado Boulder with its mountainous backdrop or University of San Diego with its stunning Spanish Renaissance-inspired buildings. It all depends on what type of setting you love and how you vibe with it.

Remember, pursuing higher education is about academics, personal growth, and the experience. It's a holistic process, so it's completely okay to take into account non-academic factors like a school's physical appearance in your decision-making.
