Largest Universities in Colorado?

Hi guys, I'm currently in the process of exploring colleges and I have a preference for larger universities. Do any of you know which college in Colorado has the most students? Discussions about campus life, student diversity and opportunities are also appreciated.

The University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) and Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins are two of the largest universities in Colorado.

CU Boulder has a student body of approximately 37,000, including both undergraduate and graduate students. The campus is situated in a vibrant college town with a picturesque view of the Flatirons. CU Boulder offers a variety of academic programs across disciplines and is renowned for its programs in engineering and environmental sciences. The university also provides ample opportunity for outdoor activities, cultural events, and student-led initiatives.

Meanwhile, Colorado State University has an approximate student population of 34,000. CSU has a strong focus on research — especially in fields like engineering and agricultural sciences. Campus life at CSU is full of spirit and tradition, with many students actively participating in athletics and intramural sports. Fort Collins itself frequently ranks as one of the best college towns in America, with a strong community feel and plenty of outdoor activities.

When it comes to diversity, both schools have committed to enhancing their recruitment and retention of students from diverse backgrounds—though like many large public universities, there's always more work to be done. At both schools, you'll find a multitude of student clubs and organizations where you can meet people from different backgrounds and interests.

Lastly, both universities offer a wide range of opportunities, from internships and co-ops to study abroad programs, which can enrich your college experience and boost your post-graduation prospects.

Choosing between them often comes down to your preferred area of study and the kind of campus environment you're looking for. Best of luck in your college search!
