Sometimes I feel like some high schools are more famous than others, with pretty much everyone knowing about them. So, what makes a high school 'well-known'? Is it the quality of education, famous alumni, impressive sports teams, or something else?

High schools can indeed become well-known or infamous for a variety of reasons, and they usually have several attributes contributing to their reputation.

One of the key factors to consider is the academic performance of the school. Schools that regularly churn out top-performers or consistently achieve outstanding standardized test scores often gain recognition for their academic excellence.
