Indian School College Admissions

Hi all! I'm originally from India and just wondering, which schools in India have the most college students? I'd like to consider all my options, both here in the US and back in my home country.

From your query, I understand that you're interested in knowing which universities in India have the largest student body. While it's a bit difficult to pinpoint exact numbers as enrolments can change every year, there are several universities in India known for their large student populations.

1. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is one of the world’s largest universities in terms of the number of students, with several million students enrolled in a variety of programs.

2. University of Mumbai has a large number of affiliated colleges and a sizable student body. It offers a wide range of programs in arts, commerce, and science.

3. University of Delhi is also one of the biggest universities in India which has a substantial student population. It's particularly renowned for arts and social sciences.

4. The University of Calcutta in Kolkata has more than 200 affiliated colleges, so it too serves a large student body.

Please note that while these universities have large student bodies, it's always essential to consider the quality of education, rankings, and opportunities for future career growth when choosing where to study. Similarly, you can also look for American universities which have large numbers of international students from India. Schools like University of Southern California, Northeastern University, and Columbia University have historically high international student populations. So, you could find a substantial community of students from your home country at these institutions as well.
