Picking the Right Location for College

I’m doing my college search and was wondering about regional areas. Specifically, is there any area in Pennsylvania that's known for having the most colleges and universities? It would be super if I could visit multiple campuses in one trip.

Absolutely, your strategy for visiting multiple campuses in a single trip is really efficient. When it comes to Pennsylvania, the largest concentration of colleges and universities is found in and around two major cities: Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

In the Philadelphia area, you have options like University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University, and Saint Joseph's University among others. Also, some notable colleges in the nearby suburb, such as Haverford College, Bryn Mawr College, and Villanova University are worth checking out.

On the other side of the state, in and around Pittsburgh, you would find University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, and Duquesne University.

It might be a good idea to plan a couple of days around each city to make the most of your visit. While campus tours and information sessions are important aspects of the college visit, you might also want to explore the city and get a feel for whether you'd enjoy living there for four years. Don't forget to also check the individual schools' protocols for campus visits as some may require appointments or have certain restrictions due to ongoing pandemic considerations. Happy touring!
