Nervous about scholarships, any prestigious ones I should target?

I'm starting my senior year and starting to think about scholarships. Are there any particularly prestigious scholarships for high school students that I should be aware of? I'm aiming high and could use some advice!

Absolutely, there are many prestigious scholarships you can explore. One of the most renowned is the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. This scholarship provides 150 recipients with $20,000 for college, based on their academic excellence, leadership, and service.

Next, the Gates Scholarship is also an excellent opportunity for academically talented high school seniors who are from minority backgrounds and in financial need. It pays for the full cost of attendance not already covered by other financial aid and Pell Grant.

The Reagan Foundation Scholarships are also very prestigious. This scholarship program recognizes excellent high school seniors who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship, mirroring the values that Ronald Reagan himself prioritized.

Another one to consider is the Burger King Scholars program. It awards scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $60,000 based on GPA, work experience, extracurricular activities, and community service.

Lastly, don't overlook the Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Competition. It awards scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $7,500 per year, with the amount decided upon not only by an applicant's academic achievements but also by leadership and financial need.

Remember that many of these scholarships do have specific criteria and merit thresholds, so it's important to thoroughly review the eligibility requirements and deadlines. Good luck with your search!
