Which states have highest number of degrees per capita?

Hey, just a curious question popped into my head: does anyone know which states have the highest number of college degrees per capita? Would be interesting to compare state-wise and understand the areas with more emphasis on higher education!

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, the five states with the highest percentage of adults (25 and above) holding at least a bachelor's degree in 2024 were:

1. Massachusetts: Approximately 44.5% of adults in Massachusetts possess at least a bachelor's degree.

2. Colorado: Around 41.6% of adults have at least a bachelor's degree.

3. Maryland: The percentage standing is at about 40.9%.

4. Connecticut: Approximately 40% of adults possess at least a bachelor's degree.

5. New Jersey: Similarly, almost 40% of adults hold a degree.

It's important to note that higher education rates can be influenced by several factors, such as the presence of institutions of higher education, state demographics, the local economy, and state and local education policies. Even though these states have the highest percentages, there are many well-educated individuals throughout the country. It's also important to remember that a degree is not the only measure of educational achievement or potential success!
