The costliest college application fees?

Hey! I've been applying to a number of colleges and the application fees are adding up quickly. This got me thinking - which college application is the most expensive? Do all colleges charge for applications? Thanks!

Most colleges in the United States do charge application fees, but the cost can vary significantly from one institution to the next. Generally speaking, application fees fall somewhere between $25 and $125.

Stanford University, Duke University, and Columbia University are examples of schools that have some of the highest application fees, charging $125, $95, and $85 respectively. On the other hand some schools have no application fee at all.

However, if these costs are a barrier for you, it's worth noting that many colleges offer fee waivers for students who demonstrate financial need. The College Board, which administers the SAT, also offers fee waivers that are accepted at many colleges.

Remember though, the application fee is just one cost associated with applying to college. Other costs can include sending test scores, if the schools require them, and potentially paying for CSS Profile submission, which some schools use to determine institutional aid.

Just be sure to research each college's policy and reach out to the admissions office if you need any clarification. Don't let the application fee deter you from applying to a school that you are interested in.
