Any Diverse College Recommendations in Pennsylvania?

Hello there! I'm pretty set on staying in Pennsylvania for my college years, but I'd love to find a campus that doesn't only have a mono-culture. Could anyone help me out and recommend colleges in Pennsylvania that are known for their ethnic diversity?

Sure thing! Pennsylvania has a variety of institutions known for their diverse campuses.

Firstly, the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), part of the Ivy League, is known for its commitment to diversity. The student body represents different ethnicities, religions, socioeconomic backgrounds, and more. Regular programming and resources from cultural and resource centers also encourage the celebration of multiculturalism.

Another option is Temple University, located in Philadelphia, which caters to a diverse set of students spanning various races, ethnicities, and ages. It has a large international student body and a myriad of organizations that celebrate different cultures.

Pennsylvania State University, also known as Penn State, has students from different states and countries, offering a global experience on campus. That said, diversity percentages at Penn State's main campus are lower than both Temple and UPenn.

Also, consider smaller liberal arts colleges like Swarthmore College, historically known for embracing individuals of different backgrounds, and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, which attracts students globally due to its unique set of programs.

Please note that individual experience can depend on various factors, so it's beneficial to visit the campuses, if possible, or connect with current students to understand what multicultural life is like on these campuses. Also, look at each college's resource centers, diversity initiatives, and student organizations that celebrate different cultures, which can significantly impact your college experience.
