What are the most common foods eaten by college students?

Starting to think about how I'm gonna feed myself when I get to college lol. What are some of the most common (and hopefully healthy) foods you all as college students eat?

In my conversations with various college students, some common and relatively healthy foods that they often consume include:

1. Oats: An all-time favorite due to its versatility. Throw in some fruits, nuts, and a bit of honey, and you have a wholesome breakfast.

2. Rice bowls: These are popular because they are easy to make. Start with a base of brown rice or quinoa and add lean protein like chicken or tofu, and a lot of mixed vegetables.

3. Salads: You can make these as elaborate or as simple as you like. Canned tuna, boiled eggs, avocado, and a variety of mixed greens are commonly added ingredients.

4. Whole Wheat Pasta: Healthier than regular pasta and very filling. Adding lean protein like grilled chicken and vegetables makes it balanced.

5. Grilled wraps: Using a wholemeal tortilla, filled with lean protein, vegetables, and a bit of low-fat cheese can make a substantial meal.

6. Smoothies: Packed with nutrition and quick to prepare. A typical recipe might include a banana, a handful of spinach, a scoop of protein powder, and almond milk.

Also, ensure you are well-stocked on healthy snacks like popcorn, fruits, and nuts. Cooking at home is generally healthier than eating at fast food places or even at the campus cafeteria, and it can also be a fun way to de-stress. Once you get used to preparing your meals, you might even find that you enjoy the process!
