Which college campus is the most forested?

Hey! I love nature and the idea of going to school surrounded by trees is super appealing to me. Do any of you know of a college that has a highly forested campus? Like, the type where you could take a study break and go for a walk in the woods? Thanks in advance!

There are many colleges in the U.S. that have heavily forested campuses, some as high as 50 to 90 percent of their campus area. For instance, Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington stands out—it's surrounded by 1,000 acres of woodland teeming with leafy trails for hiking and exploring. Meanwhile, on the East Coast, Middlebury College in Vermont is nestled in the Green Mountains and has its own dedicated forest, the Bread Loaf Forest.

If you're willing to consider international options, the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada is located next to the 1,000-acre Pacific Spirit Regional Park. Imagine the study breaks you could have there!

Regardless of the school you choose, I recommend taking a campus tour—virtual or in-person—if possible, to gauge how easily accessible the nature areas are from the main academic buildings, dorms, etc. All the best in your college search!
