Wondering About High Schools Feeding into UCLA

Does anyone know which high schools typically send a lot of their students to UCLA? I'm considering transferring and I'm trying to get an idea of what the feeder schools are. This information could be crucial for my decision. Thanks a lot!

While I understand curiosity about "feeder schools" into universities like UCLA, it's important to note that colleges do not necessarily prioritize or favor students from certain high schools. Universities seek a diverse student body from a wide array of locations and backgrounds.

That being said, Jennifer, among the high schools sending the most students to UCLA, many are typically located in California, given that UCLA is a public university in the state. LA area schools such as Palisades Charter High School and North Hollywood High School, for instance, generally have a significant number of students attending UCLA each year.

Other schools may include some well-regarded private schools, both in California and beyond, due to their strong academic programs. However, these trends can change from year to year and so may not be the best indicator of admissions odds.

Remember, though, it's not the high school that makes the student, but rather the student's performance, activities, and the qualities they possess. When considering a high school transfer, it may be more important to consider factors like academic rigor, availability of extracurricular activities, and other resources that can enhance your individual growth and competitiveness as a college applicant.
