Midwest colleges with an entertaining campus life?

Hello everyone! I'm exploring colleges and the Midwest is on my radar. While academic rigour is my priority, I don’t want to miss out on a fun and engaging student life. Any colleges you know that strike the perfect balance?

There are many colleges in the Midwest known for their academic rigor as well as vibrant campus life:

1. University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (U-M): Known as one of the top public universities in the U.S., U-M offers a robust and diverse social scene thanks to its large student body and sports culture. The Big House (the university's football stadium) is the largest in the nation, and home games are a huge campus event. Ann Arbor itself is a fun college town with restaurants, shops, and social events.

2. University of Wisconsin, Madison: This university has a reputation for both intellect and fun. Located on an isthmus between two lakes, it offers outdoor activities like boating and ice skating. State Street, which links the campus and the state capitol, offers a wide range of restaurants and shops. Also noteworthy are the Badgers’ sports events, which draw large crowds.

3. Indiana University, Bloomington: Home to the iconic Sample Gates and a gorgeously landscaped campus, IU attracts students not just for its academics but also for its campus events like the Little 500 bicycle race and culture-focused festivals. "Hoosier hospitality" is real, and the basketball culture is exciting.
