What's the friendliest college in Oxford?

Starting to consider my overseas options, and Oxford has caught my eye. I've heard there are a bunch of colleges within Oxford itself - does anyone know which of these is considered the friendliest? What experiences informed your recommendation?

When talking about the "friendliest" college at Oxford, it can be tough because people may have different experiences, and your opinion is likely to depend heavily on personal fit. However, one subset of Oxford University that often gets labeled as endearingly friendly is Keble College. Known for its vibrant student body and welcoming atmosphere, Keble stands out in many students' and alumni's experiences.

Keble College has an active student union that frequently organizes social events, fostering a tight-knit and engaging community. Their Freshers' Week (orientation week for new students) is filled with activities to help you settle in and make friends quickly. Furthermore, many students mention the college's strong and inclusive support system, underpinned by the college traditions that aim to unite students rather than exclude them.

On the academic side, Keble's tutors are reported to be supportive and approachable, encouraging a non-competitive, friendly atmosphere. These qualities may contribute to Keble's reputation for being outwardly friendly.

That being said, bear in mind that "friendliness" is highly subjective and can vary year on year with the changing student body. My advice would be to try and visit these colleges if possible or speak to current and past students. There are virtual tours, open days, and online forums available to engage with the colleges, even if physically visiting isn't possible. This will give you a sense of the community, and it'll make it easier for you to ascertain which college feels like a good fit for you.
