Fanciest colleges in the U.S.?

Hello everyone, I'm doing a project for my junior year and was wondering which are some of the fanciest colleges in the U.S.? By 'fanciest' I mean in terms of campus aesthetics, student life, amenities and overall experience.

There are several universities across the United States that are often recognized for offering high-quality amenities, beautiful campuses, and unique student life experiences.

1. Stanford University: Located in California, Stanford is known for its Mediterranean-style architecture, palm tree-lined avenues, and sprawling green spaces. The design of the campus was quite innovative for its time and continues to draw admiration.

2. Harvard University: In terms of prestige and history, it's hard to outdo Harvard. Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the university has some incredibly old and beautiful buildings and is located in a city rich in academic and historical life.

3. Princeton University: Princeton is located in a picturesque town in New Jersey. Its ivy-covered buildings and beautiful landscaping make it one of the most attractive campuses.

4. University of Virginia: Its main campus, also called the Grounds, designed by Thomas Jefferson, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

5. Columbia University: Located in the heart of New York City, Columbia offers a unique blend of urban and traditional campus aesthetics.

6. Duke University: Located in Durham, North Carolina, Duke is known for its Collegiate Gothic architecture and lush gardens.

7. University of Chicago: In the heart of Chicago, Illinois, stunning architecture is interspersed with gorgeous landscaped areas.

8. Vanderbilt University: Known as ‘The Harvard of the South’, Vanderbilt’s campus is a national arboretum filled with magnolias and dogwoods.

It's important to note that each college's "fanciness" can vary greatly depending on individual taste. While some may appreciate a more urban, modern look (such as Columbia or NYU), others may be drawn to the colonial charm of a school like Yale. I recommend, if possible, visiting a few campuses across the U.S. to see which types of settings and amenities appeal most to you. Plenty of schools offer virtual tours worth looking into, especially if travel isn't an option.
