Missouri's Ghostly Campus Chronicles?

Hey, folks! So I was hanging out with friends, and we stumbled upon a discussion of haunted colleges. One that came up was some colleges in Missouri. Anyone with any credible stories or experiences, or is it all just urban legends and folklore?

Hey there! Well, on-campus spooky tales are as old as the colleges themselves across the country. While it's often hard to categorize them as "credible" due to their often anecdotal nature, I can share that Missouri does have its share of ghostly campus legends.

For example, Stephens College in Columbia recognized as the second-oldest women's college in the country, is believed to have quite a few hauntings. The most famous story is that of Senior Hall, where it's said that a Civil War nurse named Sarah Wheeler haunts the building. There are accounts of people hearing a woman walking in the halls, strange noises and even seeing ghostly apparitions.

Then there's Drury University, where the Clara Thompson Hall is supposedly haunted by the ghost of Clara herself, known for her love of music. Some say they've heard piano music coming from the hall when it's supposed to be empty.

Of course, understand that these are stories often passed down through generations of students. Whether these occurrences are paranormal, simply figments of overactive imaginations, or pranksters having a bit of fun, is subjective and open to interpretation.

Just remember: ghost stories and folklore are a fun part of campus culture, but don't let them spook you too much! Whether you believe in them or not, they sure do make for some intriguing conversation topics.
