In search of most liberal colleges in the Midwest

What's up, folks? I'm currently a junior in high school and exploring my college choices. I'm especially interested in the Midwest region, and I'd love to attend a college where the student body leans towards liberal values. Can anyone suggest such colleges in the Midwest?

Absolutely! Here are a few Midwest colleges known for having liberal-leaning student bodies:

1. Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH: Oberlin is not only known for its strong academics, but it's also one of the most socially progressive colleges in the country and is often recognized for its commitment to social justice and environmental sustainability.

2. Macalester College, St. Paul, MN: This college has a reputation for attracting international and socially conscious students, being ranked as one of the most politically active schools.

3. Grinnell College, Grinnell, IA: Known for student activism and socially progressive initiatives.

4. Beloit College, Beloit, WI: A liberal arts college with a strong emphasis on social equality and justice.

5. University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI: With a big city feel and a large student body, the university provides plenty of resources and opportunities for students who are politically active.

6. The University of Chicago, Chicago, IL: Although it's known for its blend of different perspectives, many students do lean towards liberal viewpoints.

Keep in mind that the 'liberal' nature can vary between these schools, and the best way to gauge where you'd feel most comfortable is by visiting these campuses (if possible), or engaging with current students or alumni. Consider reaching out to the admissions offices at these schools to inquire about student life and political leaning. While political leaning of a campus can contribute to its culture, remember to also consider academic programs, resources, size, location, and other factors that may be important to you.
