Most liberal colleges in the US?

Hi, I'm trying to understand the political climate in different universities across the US since politics is a huge part of my life. Any ideas on which colleges are the most liberal?

It's important to keep in mind that political leanings can vary even within a campus, but some universities are generally known to have a liberal-leaning student body:

1. University of California, Berkeley: UC Berkeley is located in one of the most politically active areas in the country and has a history of student activism dating back to the 1960s.

2. Oberlin College: Located in Ohio, Oberlin is known for its progressive spirit.

3. Wesleyan University: This Connecticut school counts itself among the group of "Little Ivies," and it also stands out for its strong liberal atmosphere.

4. Brown University: Brown, an Ivy League school, is known for its open curriculum and its student’s fierce independence and progressive values.

5. Bard College: Bard, based in New York, frequently shows up on lists of most liberal colleges due to its active political engagement.

6. Reed College: This small school in Portland, Oregon is famous for its unconventional grading system and a student body that is involved in community activism.

7. Grinnell College: This Iowa school has a strong commitment to social justice, which often translates into a liberal political climate.

Remember that liberal-leaning doesn't necessarily mean that other perspectives can't be found or are unwelcome on the campus. Nearly all colleges value diversity of thought, and this includes political diversity. Always visit the campus (if you can) and connect with students to get a feel for the political climate yourself!
