Liberal and Conservative Colleges in Tennessee

So guys, I'm planning to apply to colleges in Tennessee. Can anyone offer insights on which ones are the most liberal and which most conservative?

Absolutely! In Tennessee, there is a variety of colleges with different political leanings. While it's important to note that there's a wide range of views on any campus, some schools are known for having predominantly liberal or conservative student bodies.

On the more liberal end, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, tends to lean left. That's not to say there aren't conservative students or voices on the campus, but the overall sentiment seems to be more progressive, particularly on social issues.

Belmont University, on the other hand, is known for its Christian affiliation and has a more conservative leaning. It has roots in the Southern Baptist tradition and requires students to complete general education classes with a Biblical basis, which tends to attract a more conservative student body.

Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro is somewhere in the middle. It seems to have a balanced mix of both liberal and conservative viewpoints among its students, reflecting a diverse range of opinions and ideas.

Remember, it's important to visit these colleges (if you can), or speak with current students to get a real feel for the campus culture and political climate. Every student's experience is unique, and these generalizations may not hold true for everyone.
