Conservative colleges?

I know plenty of colleges have liberal-leaning environments, but are there colleges that are known for being more conservative? I'd love to hear about schools where I won't feel out of place expressing my conservative values.

Absolutely, there are quite a few colleges that are known for having more conservative-leaning student bodies. Here are a few you might consider:

1. Hillsdale College: Located in Michigan, Hillsdale is known for emphasizing a traditional liberal arts curriculum and a strong commitment to conservative principles. The college also doesn't accept federal financial aid to maintain its independence.

2. Grove City College: This Pennsylvania institution is also known for its conservative environment. It also does not accept federal financial aid and prides itself on its independence.

3. Liberty University: A private Christian university in Virginia founded by the reverend Jerry Falwell. It has been described as one of the most politically conservative institutions in the United States.

4. Pepperdine University: A Christian university in California which is known for its emphasis on individual responsibility, as well as free market values.

5. Texas A&M University: One of the most conservative public universities in the country, located in College Station, Texas.

6. Brigham Young University (BYU): Founded and subsidized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it has campuses in Utah, Idaho, and Hawaii.

It's important to look further into what "conservative" means on each campus–it can mean religious conservatism, political conservatism, or an emphasis on traditional education principles, among other things. Review the mission statements, curricula, and codes of conduct at these schools to see if their form of conservatism aligns with your values. Additionally, consider reaching out to current students or alumni for their perspectives.
