Number 1 Draft Picks by College?

Just out of curiosity but also this info might help me in my decision, does anyone know which colleges have produced the most number 1 draft picks? Particularly in basketball or football?

For NBA basketball, the University of Kentucky holds the record for having the most number 1 overall draft picks. They've had a total of three players selected as the number 1 draft pick: John Wall in 2010, Anthony Davis in 2012, and Karl-Anthony Towns in 2015. Duke University has also produced several #1 NBA draft picks, with players like Zion Williamson in 2019, Kyrie Irving in 2011, and Elton Brand in 1999.

In terms of NFL football, the University of Southern California (USC) is the leader, having produced five players picked first overall. They include Carson Palmer in 2003, Keyshawn Johnson in 1996, O.J. Simpson in 1969, Ron Yary in 1968, and Ricky Bell in 1977. The University of Notre Dame has also produced four #1 NFL draft picks, including Paul Hornung in 1957, Leon Hart in 1950, Frank Dancewicz in 1946, and Angelo Bertelli in 1944.

Keep in mind that while having top draft picks is a good testament to a sports program's strength and the level of talent they attract, it doesn't automatically mean you'll get drafted if you play for these schools. Playing at the collegiate level and making it to the professional leagues involves a lot of factors including talent, hard work, determination, and sometimes, a bit of luck.
