Hey all, I'm a nature freak and would totally love a college with an outdoorsy vibe. I prefer Liberal Arts colleges. Any recommendations? Which are considered the most outdoorsy Liberal Arts colleges?

Certainly! There are numerous liberal arts colleges that are well-known for their outdoor atmospheres. Here are a few that come to mind:

1. Middlebury College in Vermont: This college boasts an outdoor-oriented culture with student clubs dedicated to mountaineering, snow sports, and more. Its location in Vermont gives students access to plenty of hiking trails, ski slopes, and water activities.

2. Colorado College: The Block Plan at Colorado College means you take one intensive course at a time, allowing extended periods for outdoor exploration. Its location near the Rocky Mountains certainly supports a love for the outdoors.

3. Whitman College in Washington: Nestled in beautiful Walla Walla, Whitman College takes advantage of its location near regional parks and national forests, making it a haven for hikers, campers, and nature lovers.

4. Bowdoin College in Maine: Positioned on the coast of Maine, this college offers students access to both the ocean and the mountains. Bowdoin Outing Club, one of the oldest collegiate outing clubs in the country, organizes trips and outdoor activities for students.

5. Reed College in Oregon: Located in Portland, Reed College offers an excellent balance between city life and outdoor activities. They have canyons on campus and the nearby Mt. Hood and Columbia River Gorge offers ample opportunities for hiking, skiing, and rafting.

All of these colleges are not only recognized for their strong academics but also for their vibrant outdoor cultures which could be a great fit for a nature lover like you.
