Lively and Fun College at Oxford - Any Ideas?

Alright, I'm applying to Oxford and I'm really striving for a college that’s lively and fun. By that, I mean active student communities, robust extracurricular activities, lots of events and that sort of environment. Can anyone suggest some Oxford colleges that fit the bill?

Taking into account your preference for a lively and engaging social environment, you might want to consider St. Catherine's College or Saint John's College.

St. Catherine's College ranks high in terms of having an active college life, due to its modern campus and a tight-knit community. This college is known for its non-traditional architecture and size; it's one of the largest colleges in terms of undergraduate population at Oxford. This means there are plenty of extracurricular activities to participate in, along with diverse community events.

On the other hand, Saint John's College is known for its active student community and enviable location at the heart of Oxford city, which lends itself to a vibrant atmosphere. It features a variety of sports teams and societies, with events like the popular Winter Ball. Worth noting, it also has some of the best student accommodations among Oxford colleges.

That being said, a lively college experience often depends on what you make of the opportunities and how you engage with your surroundings. No matter which college you end up in, seeking out and taking part in social, sport, and cultural activities will likely result in an enjoyable college experience. Best of luck with your application!
