What colleges have produced the most Pulitzer Prize winners?

Hey everyone, I'm a junior trying to figure out where to apply for college. I'm pretty enthusiastic about Journalism and Literature, so I was wondering which colleges have the most alums who've won Pulitzer Prizes. Think this might factor into my decision-making process, so any info would be greatly appreciated!

The institutions that have produced the most Pulitzer Prize winners are indeed noteworthy for their strengths in literature, journalism, and related fields. Many Pulitzer winners have come from the Ivy League.

Harvard University is at the top of the list. Its graduate and undergraduate alumni have received numerous Pulitzer Prizes. Harvard and Columbia University, which houses the Graduate School of Journalism, the same institution that administers the Pulitzer Prizes, are both in the double digits.

The University of California, Berkeley also boasts a high number of Pulitzer Prize winners amongst its alumni, largely thanks to its renowned Graduate School of Journalism. The University of Michigan and the University of Florida are also worth mentioning; they've also produced several Pulitzer laureates.

However, please bear in mind that while the historical achievements of a school's alumni can suggest the institution's strength in a particular field, it's essential to find a school that fits your personal goals, learning style, and needs. The Pulitzer Prizes are an excellent benchmark for institutional accomplishments, but they are just one measure of potential success.

As you search for schools, it's important to consider not just past laureates, but also the current faculty, student support services, curriculum content and requirements, opportunities for hands-on learning (like internships or campus newspapers), and the overall culture and values of the institution. Your success will be largely determined by these factors alongside your personal passion, perseverance, and talent.
