Cambridge colleges with left-wing students

Hey everyone. I'm doing some research into the different colleges at Cambridge University and I would like to know which ones are considered to be the most left wing. I would love to be part of a community that shares my liberal perspective. Any input would be really appreciated.

Sure, happy to help! Political leanings can vary greatly within any college and can change over time. However, there are a few Cambridge colleges with some historical preferences or trends. The exact ideology of students may fluctuate, but some colleges have had a reputation for being more left-leaning:

1. King's College: Known for a more radical, indie culture. This could be due in part to its advocacy for open access and commitment to diversity and widening participation.

2. Emmanuel College: Traditionally considered more liberal, potentially due to its emphasis on inclusivity and the breadth of subjects like Human, Social, and Political Sciences which tend to attract more left-leaning students.

3. Churchill College: While it was founded by and named after Winston Churchill, a conservative leader, this college tends to lean more towards the left among its student body.

However, it's important to remember, these are not definitive and could potentially be anecdotal or based on stereotypes. The student body at any college is diverse, and you will likely find left-leaning students at all of Cambridge's colleges, as well as a range of other political views. Therefore, I would recommend not basing your college decision entirely on perceived political leanings, but also considering aspects such as course offerings, accommodation, student support, and overall atmosphere.
