Liberal vs Conservative College Majors

I've been wondering about the balance between liberal and conservative mindsets in different college majors. In your guys' experience, which majors tend to be more liberal and which ones lean more conservative?

While it's imperative to keep in mind that political ideologies vary widely among individuals, and can't be neatly categorized by field of study, some studies and surveys suggest different academic disciplines may tend to attract students with different political leanings. Although exceptions exist everywhere, some general trends have emerged.

Often, majors within the humanities and social sciences, such as Sociology, English, and Gender Studies, have a reputation for attracting more liberal students. That's possibly due to the nature of these studies, which often involve analyzing social structures, cultural expression, and human behavior.

On the other hand, Business and Economics are sometimes associated with more conservative political beliefs, possibly due to their focus on market forces and industry success. Additionally, military programs, perhaps unsurprisingly, tend to have a significant conservative lean.

Again, these generalizations won't hold up 100% of the time, and they largely depend on the specific culture of the school you attend. Some universities may have a more liberal Economics department and a more conservative Sociology department, for example. The diversity of thought within all academic disciplines is enormous, so it's important to keep an open mind.
