Hello there! One of my close friends is an undocumented student and is quite anxious about their prospects for higher education. Do you guys recommend any specific colleges that have proven to be undocumented-friendly?

Absolutely, there are quite a few colleges and universities that are supportive of undocumented students and offer various resources to assist them throughout their journey in higher education.

Firstly, consider checking out private universities. Unlike many public institutions, private universities and colleges such as Princeton, Harvard, and Yale do not have restrictions on the admission of undocumented students. These colleges also actively work to meet 100% of their demonstrated financial need for all students, regardless of citizenship status.

Furthermore, there's also Northwestern University which is another clear example of a private university supporting undocumented students. Northwestern openly admits undocumented students, including those with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, and considers them equivalent to domestic students during the financial aid process.

The University of California school system is also known for being supportive of undocumented students. All nine UC campuses have dedicated resources for undocumented students, ranging from legal support to scholarships and grants.

In Texas, both the University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M grant in-state tuition to undocumented students who have lived in Texas for at least three years prior to graduating high school, which can significantly reduce the costs of attending these institutions.
