Choosing a Liberal Large College

Hi all. I'm a junior interested in attending a large, liberal university because I really crave that buzz of being in a big student body with diverse opinions. I've heard some big colleges are more liberal than others? Can anyone share their knowledge/experiences on this matter?

Finding a school that aligns with your personal beliefs can certainly improve your overall college experience, and it's great that you're looking for that mix of diversity, liberal atmosphere alongside a large student population. Here are a few that can provide the environment you're looking for:

1. University of California, Berkeley - Known for its vibrant, open-minded student body, UC Berkeley provides a large community full of diverse opinions. It is extremely well-known for its liberal atmosphere and its engagement in political discourse.

2. New York University - Located in the heart of one of America's most liberal cities, NYU offers a wide variety of majors and extracurricular programs centered on social justice, sustainability, and even offers courses in activism.

3. University of California, Los Angeles - UCLA, like Berkeley, is part of the diverse UC system and frequently engages in robust discussions on various social issues.

Remember though, college is a place to grow and learn from differing viewpoints. So while it's important to be comfortable in your surroundings, encountering opposing views can also be beneficial as well.

Hope this helps and you find a college that fits you perfectly!
