Which colleges are most popular among LGBTQ+ students?

I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community and it's important for me to be in an open and accepting environment when I go to uni. Which colleges are known for being most popular with, or inclusive to, LGBTQ+ students?

There are many universities that are widely known for their inclusivity and support of the LGBTQ+ community. Many factors come into play, including institutional policies, resources for LGBTQ+ students, events and clubs, as well as the overall campus climate.

In no particular order, the following are some colleges that consistently show up on lists for their warm reception towards the LGBTQ+ community:

1. University of Massachusetts, Amherst: It's home to the Stonewall Center, which is one of the oldest LGBTQ+ Centers in the country. The campus offers gender-inclusive housing, and various cultural and educational events throughout the year.

3. University of California, Berkeley: Another university with a vibrant LGBTQ community is UC Berkeley. The campus has a Gender Equity Resource Center, which offers various student groups, events, education, and resources for LGBTQ+ students.

4. University of Pennsylvania: UPenn's well-established resource center, the LGBT Center, is one of the oldest in the country. They offer a wide range of services and programming, including educational workshops, social events, and more.

5. Tufts University: Tufts has an impressive array of resources dedicated to LGBTQ+ students through their LGBT Center. They also have Rainbow House, a thematic housing option for students interested in topics related to gender, sexuality, and queer culture.
