Any recognized small colleges for computer science?

Hey all, the idea of a small, close-knit campus attracts me quite a bit. Anyone got suggestions for smaller colleges that are known for their computer science programs?

Sure, your inclination towards smaller colleges for a more intimate learning environment is understandable. There are quite a few smaller institutions with reputable computer science programs:

- Harvey Mudd College: While technically part of the larger Claremont Colleges consortium in California, Harvey Mudd itself enrolls about 800 students and is known for its STEM programs, particularly Computer Science. Their students frequently secure job offers from top tech companies and national labs.

- Carleton College: Carleton is a liberal arts college in Minnesota that has a strong computer science department. It's known for its rigorous academic environment and close-knit campus community.

- Pomona College: Also a part of the Claremont Colleges, Pomona College is a highly-ranked liberal arts institution with an impressive Computer Science program. The small classes sizes allow for personalized attention and learning.

- Williams College: Located in Massachusetts, Williams is a small liberal arts college with strong programs across the board, including Computer Science. The school uses a unique "tutorial" system adapted from Oxford, where two students and a professor meet weekly, providing an opportunity for highly individualized instruction.

These schools may not have the massive scale of some bigger universities, but they more than make up for it with their community feel and commitment to a high-quality education. And again, location may play a big part in your decision, so consider researching each of these more in-depth. Hope this helps!
