Hi folks! So, I'm in eleventh grade and thinking seriously about applications coming up next year. One thing that's really important to me is a tight-knit, enthusiastic community on campus. What are some signs that a college has a lot of school spirit? Are there certain things you think that the 'most school spirited' colleges all have in common? Would appreciate your feedback.

There are definitely a few major indicators of a college with a strong community spirit that you can look out for while researching prospective schools.

1. Student Body Engagement: A good starting point would be to check how many students are involved in extracurricular activities. Colleges that prioritize a sense of community usually have an array of social, cultural, and academic clubs that students actively participate in.

2. Alumni Involvement: A thriving alumni network is another indicator. If graduates continue to stay active and engaged in college activities after graduation, it speaks to a strong sense of connectedness and pride in the school.

3. Traditions: Universities with strong school spirit usually have a rich history of traditions that the faculty and student body enthusiastically participate in. These traditions, whether they're an annual homecoming event, special chants at sports games, or unique senior rituals, create a shared experience bonding the community together.
