Where are the most Thai students studying in US colleges?

Hey guys, I'm curious if there are specific US colleges that have a higher concentration of Thai students. I’m Thai myself and although I'm definitely looking forward to meeting a diverse range of people, it would be nice to connect with some students from my home country. Does anyone have information on this?

Sure, I can provide some insights on this matter. Unfortunately, colleges themselves don't usually publish specific demographics of their international student population by nationality. However, I can share that certain regions in the US tend to attract more international students, which could include students from Thailand.

Often, universities on the coasts, such as in California and New York, have a very high number of international students. Universities like the University of Southern California (USC), New York University (NYU), and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) are known for high international student populations. The large and diverse cities these universities are situated in attract students from all over the world.

Additionally, Midwest colleges such as the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC) and Purdue University are also known to have a substantial international student population. In these cases, their renowned engineering and computer science programs draw a lot of international interest.

If it's really important to you to connect with other Thai students, it would be worthwhile checking if the colleges you're considering have an active Thai student organization or similar cultural club. You could reach out to these organizations directly to get a feel for the Thai student community at those schools.

Remember, the presence of other Thai students shouldn't be the only factor in your decision. Think about what you want to study, the university resources, campus culture, and other factors that will influence your experience. Regardless of where you end up, most campuses have a lot of resources available to help international students adjust and feel at home, so I hope you'll find the right fit for you! Best of luck.
