Which is the most desirable college in each state?

What's up, everybody? I've been trying to apply to a wide range of colleges around the country, and I'm curious, what are generally considered the most desirable colleges in each state? I'm not just talking Ivy League, either. Are there standout schools in each state that I should consider applying to?

Choosing the “most desirable” college in each state can be subjective as it depends on what you're looking for in a school - such as specific academic programs, campus culture, location, and more. That said, there are certainly some colleges that have gained prestige and popularity in every state. Here's a representative sample, but remember, every student's top choice will be a little different:

23. Minnesota: University of Minnesota Twin Cities

24. Mississippi: University of Mississippi

25. Missouri: Washington University in St. Louis

26. Montana: University of Montana

27. Nebraska: University of Nebraska-Lincoln

28. Nevada: University of Nevada, Reno

29. New Hampshire: Dartmouth College

30. New Jersey: Princeton University

31. New Mexico: University of New Mexico

32. New York: Columbia University

33. North Carolina: Duke University

34. North Dakota: University of North Dakota

35. Ohio: Ohio State University
