Need advice on beautiful college campuses

Hey all, so I'm trying to consider everything while making my college list. I heard that the campus environment can really make a difference in the college experience. So, any suggestions on institutions known for their beautiful campuses? I'd be really interested in reading about them!

Absolutely, I'd be happy to provide some input on this! Different people are drawn to different aesthetic styles and settings, be it urban, rural, modern, or classic. That said, several colleges have earned widespread recognition for their beautiful campuses.

Stanford University, for example, is known for its expansive campus in California that radiates a Mediterranean atmosphere with its palm trees and Rodin sculptures. It's truly like a large city with world-class architecture and scenic biking and jogging paths.

On the East Coast, Yale University in Connecticut offers a taste of gothic architecture that makes you feel like you're in a Harry Potter movie. The courtyards, with their ornate details and huge trees, can be quite breathtaking.

Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, is surrounded by a stunning rural setting. The college is located in the Upper Valley region of New England, which is especially spectacular in the fall when the foliage changes color.

Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, is known for its picturesque arboretum campus, with a mix of Collegiate Gothic and modern architecture surrounded by sweeping green lawns and hundreds of trees.

The University of Chicago, located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, features an impressive mix of traditional English Gothic and modern architecture. Its location also provides easy access to the vibrant city life of Chicago.

Lastly, located in the Pacific Northwest, the University of Washington in Seattle is famed for its cherry blossom trees that bloom every spring, providing an awe-inspiring sight for students and visitors alike.

When you're creating your college list, it's important to visit the campuses if you're able. Pictures online can't always do justice to the feeling you get from being there in person. Plus, visiting can also provide a sense of the atmosphere and student life, which are equally important to consider in addition to physical beauty.
