Colleges with notable African-American football alumni?

A little stressed over here lol but hey guys, I'm a junior right now and looking up colleges. I'm really into football and I've been wondering, are there any schools that have produced a significant number of successful black football players? Like, which colleges really support their African-American athletes?

There are a number of colleges that have produced notable African-American football athletes in recent history. Consider the following:

- The University of Alabama

- University of Georgia

- Ohio State University

- Louisiana State University

- University of Oklahoma

- Clemson University

Alabama, for instance, has produced numerous African-American NFL players such as Derrick Henry, Julio Jones and Amari Cooper. Similarly, the University of Georgia has been the college for successful African-American football players such as Nick Chubb, Todd Gurley, and A.J. Green. Ohio State is well-known too and can claim Ezekiel Elliott and Michael Thomas among their alumni.

It shouldn't go without mention that Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have a rich history of producing highly successful black athletes who excelled in the NFL. Walter Payton, one of the greatest running backs in NFL history, attended Jackson State University, and Jerry Rice, considered the best wide receiver ever, attended Mississippi Valley State University.

Remember, however, that success of alumni is only one factor to consider when evaluating how a college supports their athletes. You'll want to look at factors such as the academic support provided to athletes, programs aimed at easing the transition to professional life after college, and the school's commitment to diversity and inclusivity on and off the field. These elements can all be indicative of a school's dedication to supporting all of their athletes, including their African-American students.

Please make sure to research each college's sports training program thoroughly. Looking at alumni success is certainly part of this, but you should also consider the coaching staff's approach, training facilities, and how the school overall treats its athletes - not just on the field, but in the classroom as well.
