Colleges with Travel Opportunities

Hello everyone! I've got some serious wanderlust and I'm hoping to do a lot of travelling during college. Are there any U.S. colleges known for having the most students who travel? More specifically, are there colleges that have strong study-abroad programs or other travel opportunities?

Hello! You're in luck. Many U.S. colleges understand the importance of global exposure and offer a variety of travel and study abroad opportunities.

1. Middlebury College: Middlebury has an impressive selection of study abroad programs through their Schools Abroad in 17 countries. Additionally, nearly 60% of their students study abroad.

2. University of San Diego: This university boasts a high study abroad rate with close to 80% of students partaking during their college years. They offer programs in over 30 countries.

3. Goucher College: At Goucher, studying abroad is actually a graduation requirement! This ensures that 100% of their students get international experience. They offer three-week intensive courses abroad as well as semester and year-long programs.

4. Dartmouth College: Dartmouth offers many opportunities for travel through their Foreign Study and Exchange Programs. To improve language proficiency, they also offer a unique Language Study Abroad program.

5. Georgetown University: Georgetown is known for high student travel, thanks to their focus on international relations and global issues. They offer programs tied to specific majors, like international business and politics.

6. New York University: NYU has a global network of campuses, including locations in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai, which provides students with a unique opportunity to study in different cultural settings.

These are just a few examples! Be sure to look at each college's specific programs to see where you can go, what you can study, and how long you'd be there. Another thing to keep in mind is the financial aspect of these programs. While some schools offer financial aid for study abroad, others might not. Always check if the financial aid you receive from the university can be applied to study abroad programs. Good luck with your college search!
