What are the most useful items for college?

Hi all, I would love to have your input on this. When moving into your dorm, what are some must-have or really handy items to have for your college life?

A good list to start with includes:

1. Bedding: Having your own comfortable sheets, pillows, and depending on the climate, a heavy blanket or a comforter, is essential.

2. Storage: Dorm rooms aren't known for their generous space, so bringing storage containers, hanging racks for your closets, shoe racks, and under-bed storage can be quite useful.

3. Laundry supplies: You'd likely be doing your laundry, so having laundry detergent pods, dryer sheets, and a laundry hamper is a must.

4. Kitchen essentials: Even if you have a meal plan, you might want to store some snacks or prepare quick meals. A microwave, mini-fridge, utensils, and dishes can come in handy.

5. Study essentials: Notebooks, pens, pencils, sticky notes, and a desk lamp can help create a comfortable study zone.

6. Corkboard/whiteboard: A great addition to any dorm room for keeping track of assignments, reminders, notes, etc.

7. Tech needs: Don't forget a good laptop, chargers, headphones, and perhaps a printer if you often need to print out assignments or lecture notes.
