Rankings Based on Aesthetics - The 20 Most Beautiful College Campuses in America

Sooo, been doing a lot of deep diving into colleges and ran into '20 most beautiful college campuses in America'. While academic fit is important, I wouldn't mind studying in a beautiful place. Anyone has first-hand experience visiting or studying at any of these campuses? What were your impressions? Please share!

Reply: Absolutely! I've been fortunate enough to visit several college campuses across the country and I can share a few personal observations about some of the most beautiful I've seen.

The University of Virginia, for example, is stunning. The Rotunda, which was designed by Thomas Jefferson, really stands out and the whole campus feels steeped in history. The campus architecture, with its unique Jeffersonian style, is definitely a sight to behold.

Swarthmore College's campus is another that you'll often find on these lists. The campus feels almost like a park, with its sprawling green spaces, beautiful trees, and an amphitheater right in the middle of the campus. Definitely gives you a whole fusion of academia and nature vibe.

Closer to the West Coast, Stanford University is another campus well-known for its aesthetic beauty. It has a very different feel from more traditional, east coast campuses with its Spanish-influenced architecture and palm tree-lined roads. The Rodin Garden, full of impressive sculptures, always leaves a lasting impact on visitors.

Keep in mind, however, that the environment that you'll thrive in might not always be the one that's the most outwardly "beautiful". While strolling through beautiful grounds can certainly lend a sense of tranquility and inspiration, the atmosphere, people, resources, and the general sense of community can also greatly influence your college experience. So my advice would be to consider all these factors and as always, visit in person whenever possible.
