Looking for Opinions on Steubenville as a Catholic College

I've seen around the internet that people consider Steubinville really Catholic. What makes it more Catholic than other colleges, if at all? Any info is appreciated.

Franciscan University of Steubenville is often considered "very Catholic" because Catholicism is deeply ingrained in its campus life and academic programs. It is well-known for its strong commitment to the Catholic faith and its traditional interpretation of Catholic doctrine.

One of the key aspects that sets it apart from other Catholic universities is the integration of Catholic faith into every aspect of the university - academic, social, and spiritual. In terms of academics, a significant part of the core curriculum is Theology and Philosophy, which is directly related to the Church's teachings. Many students also major in Theology and Catechetics, which are unique and strong programs at Steubenville.

In addition to academics, Steubenville also emphasizes spiritual and communal life. The sacraments, particularly the Eucharist and Reconciliation, are made available daily, and Eucharistic Adoration is offered around the clock. Spiritual retreats, Catholic-centered tours, local mission trips, and Youth Conferences also contribute to the strong Catholic identity of the University.

Furthermore, there's a strong community feeling at Steubenville, with numerous faith-based communities, groups, and households. These "households," as they are referred to at Steubenville, are single-sex groups of students who live, pray, and participate in activities together, similar to fraternities and sororities but with a faith-based focus.

Of course, keep in mind that the 'Catholicness' of a college can be a matter of personal interpretation and experience. It's always important to visit (if possible), talk to current students, and ask your questions directly to the school in order to get a feel for whether the community fits your personal faith journey and aspirations.
