Americas most beautiful campuses

Okay, call me shallow, but the look of the campus is kinda important to me. You know, the ambiance, architecture, greenery, all that jazz. So, anyone know which American colleges are frequently ranked as having the most beautiful campuses?

Absolutely nothing wrong with considering aesthetics! Part of the college experience is the campus and it's great to enjoy the environment you'll be studying and living in.

Several US universities are renowned not just for their academic rigor but also their striking campuses.

1. University of Virginia: Noted for its Jeffersonian architecture, UVA's campus, particularly The Lawn, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It combines historical colonial architecture with vibrant student life.

2. Stanford University: Known for its Mission Revival-style architecture, the campus features sprawling green lawns and Palm Drive, a mile-long scenic road lined with palm trees.

3. Princeton University: The campus reflects Collegiate Gothic architecture; Nassau Hall and the University Chapel are particular highlights. With a mix of old and new buildings, the campus also boasts impressive foliage, especially during fall.

4. University of Notre Dame: The Main Building with its iconic Golden Dome, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and the Grotto of Notre Dame, these architectural wonders make it a beautiful place to learn.

5. Bryn Mawr College: An example of the Collegiate Gothic architecture, its tranquil setting and stone-clad buildings create a Hogwarts-like ambiance.

6. Pepperdine University: If you enjoy seaside views, Pepperdine, located in Malibu, California, offers breathtaking vistas of the Pacific Ocean.

7. Dartmouth College: Set amidst New Hampshire's beautiful Upper Valley, the European-style architecture against greenery offers a naturally beautiful campus.

Remember, each one's definition of beauty may be different. While some might prefer historic, ivy-draped buildings, others might enjoy modern glass-and-steel structures. So, it would be advisable to visit the campuses (virtually or physically), talk to current students, and look up images to see which ones resonate with your aesthetic preferences. Keep in mind that while a beautiful campus can enhance your college experience, it's just one of many factors to consider when choosing a school.
