All around the U.S.: Beautiful colleges?

Ok, so I've been thinking. I'll be spending the next 4 years of my life at whichever college I choose, so I might as well enjoy my surroundings right? So, any suggestions on the most beautiful colleges all around the U.S.? How important would you say campus aesthetics was to your overall college experience?

Absolutely, the aesthetics of a college campus can greatly influence the overall college experience! Just imagine - studying under historic gothic arches, or strolling through lush green quads on a sunny afternoon! Here are a few campuses noted for their beauty:

1. Furman University (South Carolina): Furman is home to beautiful Georgian-inspired architecture and a 40-acre lake. Its Asian garden and replica of Henry David Thoreau's cabin create unique spots of respite.

2. University of Virginia (Virginia): Designed by Thomas Jefferson, UVA's campus features the Rotunda and the serpentine walls around its gardens. The campus with its surrounding mountains makes it a sight to behold.

3. Bryn Mawr College (Pennsylvania): Bryn Mawr's campus is filled with Gothic architecture, green spaces, and even a duck pond. The campus’s architectural style makes it look like it's straight out of a fairy tale.

4. Stanford University (California): Stanford is home to palm-lined roads, beautiful Spanish colonial architecture, and Rodin’s sculptures dispersed throughout campus.

5. University of Hawaii at Manoa (Hawaii): Overlooking Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean, UH Manoa offers a tropical campus filled with palm trees and frequent rainbows.

6. Kenyon College (Ohio): Kenyon boasts beautiful Gothic architecture, a 500-acre nature preserve, and the Brown Family Environmental Center. But the Middle Path, a central footpath lined with trees, is the main draw.

While the beauty of a campus may be a great perk, it's also important to remember that the quality of education, availability of majors, campus culture, and other factors should also heavily influence your decision. But as for aesthetics playing a role in the overall college experience, having a stimulating environment can surely inspire learning and provide a peaceful atmosphere for study. Plus, it always helps when your daily walk to class is genuinely enjoyable!
