It's pivotal to remember that the "value" of a degree can be highly subjective and contingent on a combination of your personal interests, career goals, aptitudes, and the evolving job market. That being said, some degrees tend to lead to higher-paying careers or have a high job placement rate.

Degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) sectors are often seen as "valuable". STEM careers tend to have a higher average initial salary and often have solid job security due to the continual advancement of technology and healthcare industries. Degrees such as Computer Science, Biochemical Engineering, or Data Science come under this category.

Business-related degrees, particularly in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, can lead to potential high-salary careers in business, finance, and consulting sectors. Pairing these degrees with beneficial soft skills like leadership and communication can significantly increase their value.
